Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8th for all of those wandering aimlessly, calendars defunct. That means the time is near to figure out what exactly you’re gifting the woman who bore you. Of course, you could run to the nearest mall, be consumed and inundated with clothes and crowds, or you can take matters into your own hands and CREATE something. Thoughtful and less stress? Sounds like a winner. Plus, your mom will appreciate the originality; recalling kindergarten days of handwritten love notes, and butterfly paintings. Here are a few tips to making a pretty floral arrangement anyone would love.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
ASSORTMENT OF FLOWERS
Decide what type of flowers you’d like to work with. Pops of color are always visually stunning. Think, hydrangeas, tulips, roses, chrysanthemums, baby’s breath, etc.
Depending on what look you’re going for; rustic, or simple, find a base that you’d like to use. Some will choose a pretty vase, or you can use an old mason jar – the possibilities are endless. Using foliage (the greens of your flowers) create a base.
Fill in the base using your selected flowers. Play around with the space, and have fun!
