Hollywood’s hottest stars and biggest A-Lister’s took over Los Angeles on Sunday night; gathering at the Dolby Theater to celebrate the year in film at the 87th Annual Academy Awards. Anna Kendrick: The Pitch Perfect singer and actress hit the runway looking beautiful in a gown from Thakoon in a soft shade of salmon. The diamond detailing around the collar added with the peek-a-boo cutout under the bust bring the perfect amount of sexiness and fun to her look for the evening.
America Ferrera: Former Ugly Betty, America, showed up with her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, wearing a gorgeous ombré-green Jenny Packham gown. The open neckline showed off her shoulders perfectly and gave some of the spotlight to her Irene Neuwirth earrings.
Margot Robbie: The Australian blonde-bombshell and star of the new movie Focus, oozed sex appeal in a plunging black Yves Saint Laurent dress. It’s sheer sleeves showed off some extra skin while the Van Cleef & Arpels necklace and bright red lip brought all the necessary drama.
Dakota Johnson & Melanie Griffith: The mother-daughter-duo brought their stardom to the Oscars carpet in classic black and bold red. The Fifty Shades of Grey actress looked statuesque in a red Saint Laurent dress with a slit that elongated her silhouette. Dakota’s look is stepped up a level with the glittering diamond detailing strung over her shoulder.
Rosamund Pike: We finally got a red carpet knockout look from Gone Girl, Rosamund Pike, in a rose red Givenchy gown! The actress looked flawless from head-to-toe which was completed with natural-looking makeup and a simple red heel.
Lupita Nyong’o: Last year’s breakout, Lupita, was literally draped in pearls on the red carpet. She wore a custom Calvin Klein gown that was covered in 6,000 pearls of various sizes! Whether you love it or hate it, you can’t deny this is a conversation piece.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend: Singer and nominee John Legend showed his love for wife, Chrissy, on the Oscars red carpet. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model wore a periwinkle Zuhair Murad gown with and ultra-high slit (reminiscent of Angelina Jolie), while John rocked a classic Gucci tux.
Reese Witherspoon: The Wild actress took fashion notes from Barbie wearing an elegant, off the shoulder, black and white Tom Ford gown. She completed the look in Tiffany & Co. jewelry and a cute hairstyle with a part down the middle.
Scarlett Johanssen: Scarlett hit the carpet in an emerald green custom Versace dress that hugged all her curves to perfection. Incorporated into the design is a chunky emerald collar necklace that cascaded down her cleavage.
Gwyneth Paltrow: Goop girl Gwyneth took a major fashion risk in a blush-pink Ralph & Russo gown. Her look featured an over-sized rose perched atop her shoulder and drew the eyes up to her ruby red teardrop earrings.
Jennifer Lopez: As is her standard, J.Lo looked like a golden-bronze princess in a beautiful Elie Saab gown. She elegantly floated down the carpet in the dress, which perfectly matched her skin-tone. Jennifer definitely knows how to give the world what they want to see on the red carpet!
Jennifer Aniston: Once again, Jennifer showed up in a nude shimmering Versace gown. The dress laid over her body like liquid gold accentuating all the right curves. Fred Leighton jewels and her signature beach hair finished the look.
Julianne Moore: The Still Alice actress took home her Oscar in a Chanel couture gown. The white dress was intricately embroidered and accented with black contrasting flowers.
Emma Stone: Nominated for her role in Birdman, Emma stepped out on the carpet in a long-sleeve, chartreuse custom Elie Saab gown. The fashionista took a risk with this out of the ordinary color choice, but we must say, it definitely paid off!
Kerry Washington: Ms. Pope showed up looking simply sophisticated and elegant in a strapless Miu Miu gown. While the dress wasn’t memorable, you can’t deny her superstar beauty.
Lady Gaga: Always one to make a statement, Lady Gaga arrived wearing a shimmering white Azzedine Alaïa gown. She added her own twist to the look by pairing it with red plastic or leather (we’re not sure which) gloves.
