2015 SAG Awards Red Carpet Fashion

Per the usual in Hollywood…another night, another red carpet.  On Sunday, the 2015 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards (SAG Awards) took place in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium and Exposition Hall.  Lots of giddy A-Listers made the walk down the red carpet, as the SAG’s are considered to be the predictor of the coveted Oscar at The Academy Awards.  Overall most of the starlets played it safe, most likely to wow fans at next month’s ceremony.  Let’s take a look at the fashion high’s and low’s from the evening!  Then head over to shop our new selection of Hollywood inspired dresses.

Sofia Vergara: The sultry Modern Family star looked sexy in a curve-hugging Donna Karen Atelier gown.  She kept the look simple with fresh makeup and a bright and bold red lip.  The best accessory she rocked was the “rock” her fiancé Joe Manganiello gave her at her Christmas Day proposal.

Uzo Aduba: The Orange Is the New Black star shined bright on Sunday night in an highlighter-yellow, Angel Sanchez dress.  The dress had a reptilian feel with small cutouts all over to give the look some texture.  Uzo went on to win the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series!

Sarah Hyland: The sweet Modern Family star stunned in a custom Vera Wang gown. It was embellished with metallic and geometric studs as the bottom half was a sheer draped black fabric.

Reese Witherspoon: Reese has had a great red carpet season with great looks across the board.  She looked like perfection in a one-shouldered, bright white Giorgio Armani gown.  Paired with Harry Winston jewelry, Reese gave us Hollywood Glam.

Jennifer Aniston: This California girl rocked a gold, vintage lace, John Galliano gown for the night.  The color was great but the cut seemed off; which was not very flattering given the fact she has a great body!  We did love the way she accessorized with a gold and black body chain.

Julianne Moore: The radiant red-head looked flawless in an emerald green Givenchy gown, which really complimented her mane.  Styled with an easy-going hair-do and purple stone jewelry, Julianne really knocked it out of the park.

Laverne Cox: While we love this woman dearly, we can’t find anything good about her look!  In a silk champagne Johanna Johnson gown, there was too much going on all around.  There was heavy beaded trim, cutouts, a slit, a train, and even wrinkles!  Better luck next time.

Emma Stone: Ms. Stone once again wows us with an incredible fashion risk. She stunned in a Christian Dior Couture dress that had a unique take on combining men and women’s fashion.  The silver ear-cuff added an edge to the red carpet look as she kept it simple elsewhere.

Lupita Nyong’o: While we love the braided up-do, we aren’t big fans of the Elie Saab gown the starlet wore to the ceremony.  The long-sleeved dress had too much going on with the print, the pleats, and the fit.  Little Lupita seemed to be swallowed up by the gown which didn’t highlight her great figure.

Felicity Jones: This leading lady looked lovely in a pale pink Balenciaga dress.  The structure added height to her look and fit her to perfection. She looked not only old-school Hollywood, but very modern and ahead of the fashion game.
