2014’s Top 5 Most Memorable Fashion Moments

As 2014 draws to a close, we want to take a look back at the highlights in fashion throughout the year. With all the celebs fighting for attention, it was unique style and individuality that elevated stars to a level above the rest. Here’s a recap of some of our favorite fashion moments in 2014 (in alphabetical order).

Beyoncé donned an all white/sheer gown designed by Project Runway alumni Michael Costello. The floor length gown was draped strategically and made sure to cover all the right places. Paired with a perfect, body-hugging, fit…Beyoncé definitely had lots of heads turning.

While some called it fashion blasphemy, many were thrilled to see Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, aka Kimye, land the cover of Vogue. This hot power couple made sure all eyes were on them in 2014. The jet-setting duo was seen worldwide in countless high-end designs. Whether on a dinner date or front-row at Paris Fashion Week, the couple always looked immaculate!

Talk about a fashion breakout! Lupita Nyongo caused all the buzz at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. The major fashion moment not only had her atop most of the best dressed lists; but it catapulted her to superstardom. She continued to impress at each and every award show season red carpet.   To top it off, she was awarded an Oscar for her performance in Django Unchained.

We’re not sure a fashion accessory has ever caused as much a stir as the Vivienne Westwood hat Pharrell Williams wore to the 2014 Grammys. The towering hat is now on display in Washington D.C. at the Newseum as an exhibit of pop culture history!

Rihanna’s barely there look at the CFDA Fashion Awards in June has to be our most notable and favorite fashion moment of the year! The sheer, floor-length gown was designed by Adam Selman and shimmered as she walked the red carpet. She went on to be presented with the Fashion Icon award that evening. We say it was much deserved!

We can’t wait to see what these stars have in store for us in 2015!  Our eyes are waiting…
