Summer Salads

Salads, it’s not a juicy burger but it can be just as tasty! Since bikini season is here it only makes sense to start eating healthier than before. This means it’s time to bring out the summer salads! The problem with many of us is that we think salads are boring and bland! In reality, salads can be very yummy and rich in flavor when made with the right ingredients. Just because its healthy does not mean it doesn’t have to taste good! There are so many healthy and tasty ingredients that can be added into a salad without over exceeding the needed calories. From all natural fruit dressings to nutritional nuts, salads can be made to be very colorful and delicious! Check out some of these amazing salads that can be made at home within minutes!

A great salad to have is this colorful salad filled with fresh lettuce, juicy strawberries, ripe avocadoes and some yummy berries! Thought these ingredients already look delicious on their own, the best part of it all is the dressing that is made for it. Store bought dressings can be very fattening and carry unhealthy ingredients that will prevent you from achieving your bikini body! This dressing contains all the right ingredients to help you achieve your summer goal. All you need is ¼ cup of cilantro, 2 tbl spoon of olive oil, 1 tbl spoon honey, 1tbl spoon Italian dressing and a dash of pepper. Mix these ingredients into a magic bullet or blender and you’ll have the yummiest dressing to pour over this salad!

This Grilled Tropical Salad is great t enjoy at a family BBQ or a friend get-together! All you need for this salad is ½ medium pineapples (cute into ½ inch slices), 1 medium mango(cut into ½ inch slices), 4 cups torn greens, 1 cup cherry tomatoes, 1/3 balsamic vinaigrette dressing, 1/3 cup macadamia nuts! Grill the pineapple and mango over a grill for about 3 minutes on each side. While this is cooking, mix in all the other ingredients onto a large bowl and then add the grilled pineapple and mango once they’re done cooking! Enjoy!

Watermelon and strawberry salad is a great way to stay fit and beat the heat at the same time! This yummy salad contains 2 heads of lettuce (cut into large pieces), 2 cups of sliced watermelon, 2 cups of sliced strawberries, 2 cups of grilled chicken, ½ cup of red onion, ¼ cup of chopped fresh basil, ¼ cup of pesto, 2 tbsp honey and tbsp lime juice! Mix the all these ingredients together onto a big bowl and serve!

This yummy salad is a great way to start a summer BBQ with your friends and family! Not only will it keep them cool but it will also keep their taste buds satisfied! It contains slices peaches, blueberries, slivered almonds and mixed greens. After all of it is tossed and mixed well, its topped with a delicious small bottle of raspberry vinaigrette!
