Make-up for Summer Weddings

Weddings are considered to be one of the most important and celebrated events in our lifetime. It is an intimate gathering with family and friends who will always be a part of your life. It is a breathtaking moment when you see the bride walk down the aisle, teary-eyed and ready to enter another chapter of her life.

Plus, a wedding invite gives you an opportunity to dress up to the ninths.

Admit it girls, you get a thrill in a flash once the invitation is handed to you, and your eyes roll down to the invitation, read: Dress Code. Now this is where the dilemma comes in, you have no clue about what you’ll be wearing on that special day. Note: Never outshine the bride. We understand that you’d want to look your best for every occasion but understand this: It is the bride’s day, not yours. I always live by my perspective when it comes to dressier occasions like these. I go by the rule “Keep the dress simple but make sure to keep your makeup as polished as it can be.” In simple words, let the makeup speak for your whole outfit. Never underestimate the power of makeup as it can change your life in just a simple brush stroke.

Weddings are held in the mornings or late afternoons and you have two options as to what look you want to bag. Consider the cut and color of your dress, if you have a soft chiffon-like dress opt for simple, fresh, and pink. You can never go wrong with a pink lipstick. Use minimal foundation or dab concealer on areas where it’s needed, and blend well to avoid build up. Lastly, glide on loose or finishing powder to make it look natural.

Look #2 Evening Wear

Hayden Panettiere’s makeup will absolutely look good in the evening. Natalie Portman’s and Hayden Panettiere’s makeup are somehow similar. However, there’s a difference in the eye makeup. Both used brown and neutral colors, but the rimmed eyeliner on Panettierre’s makes a big impact. Portman’s look is soft while Panettiere’s eyes have a sharper, dramatic feel to it. A deep pinkish blush, and lippy were used to finish the look.

Makeup for summer weddings should be light and glowing; a generous amount of coverage is all you’ll ever need. Plus, water based foundation to maintain the freshness throughout the event is the best bet for oily skin. Remember, the keys to summer wedding make-up? Peach or pink hues.
