Summer is right before us, which means it’s time to hit the beach and work on your tan or, pack your bags and go on vacation.
If you’re looking to cool down or do some fun activities, Los Angeles has no shortage of lovely beaches. For some L.A. natives though, it can get unbearably hot in the summer. That’s why many affluent L.A. residents take to the East Coast to spend summer in the Hamptons, where else? But for some who, for one reason or another, could not just drop everything and take a flight to the Big Apple, they could take their beautiful selves to the Colony.
From the geniuses who gave the city Greystone Manor comes the next level in the Hollywood high life experience.
SBE Group captured what makes the Hamptons lifestyle so coveted and brought it to Hollywood. Guests and partygoers who come to visit will be treated to the luxurious East Coast vibe that has been exclusive to an elite group for so long.
Located on 1743 N. Cahuenga Boulevard, The Colony exudes a comfy and cozy beach house setting that sets it apart from other Hollywood nightclubs. With the building’s wide open floor plan, ICRAVE, the designer of the club, was able to create a series of different spaces – the lounge, the dance floor, the pool, and the bar – each with its own characteristic but all coming together effortlessly as a whole.
The beach feel of The Colony starts outside with its lush landscaped garden complete with sand dunes and beach grass. You will then find your self standing in front of a lifeguard stand which indicates the main entrance.
Inside, the club’s floors and walls are made of salvaged distressed wood that brings beach boardwalks to mind – the kind of “shabby, beach chic” that makes a partygoer want to kick of her Manolo Blahniks and just let loose.
Upon entering, you will find yourself standing on the club’s dance floor with a giant mural of a beach-babe and with a huge disco ball hanging from the ceiling. To your left is the lounge area with a well-stocked bar where you can order summer-y cocktails such as pineapple mojitos and muddled watermelon and enjoy them on a boat swing. On the other side is an open-air patio with a retractable roof that is littered with day beds plus a huge central hammock suspended over shallow plunge pool. It’s no wonder that The Colony attracts A-list celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Aniston. The club’s unique, luxurious yet casual beach vibe truly sets it apart.
